As the great mecca of comedy celebrates its 70th anniversary, we want to share and be part of the celebration of what is the World's greatest comedy festival and will seek to create our ultimate homage by bringing to Spain a comedy mash up of 2 Edinburgh Fringe '17 bound shows to get you in the mood for a truly great Summer and save you the hassle expense and flights!
The first part comes courtesy of ComedyinSpain's own founder and programmer in Chief, Juan D Ablo will be returning to the Fringe after an hiatus of several years to channel his True Storytelling night, 'VENT! Telling it like it was' (8 years later true storytelling is finally a thing). Juan will preview his show entitled ‘The Pre-Disposed’.
An epic tale of washed up comedy promoter, Juan D. Ablo that passes through mediocre events, ill advised shows and festivals, from Brasil to Spain and ultimately back home to Ireland in search of the reason why leglessness suddenly became uncool!
The second part will be simply one of the most popular shows on the international Festival circuit from New Zealand to Edinburgh, the multiple award winning Carey Marx.
Carey will bring his show ‘Britain’s favourite Man’ fresh from storming both Melbourne and Adelaide’s comedy festivals.
Star of Intensive Carey on Radio 4, twice winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and just awarded the 'Comedian's Comedian' 2017 Chortle.co.uk award, comes to Valencia with a new show about getting older, fatter and uglier fresh from Melbourne and the Southern hemisphere comedy circuit. One of the most inventive comedy writers in Britain and a perennial sell out at The Fringe, Carey was an annual search for the Giggling Guiri comedy club for almost a decade and when we finally got dates to work he went and had a heart attack... LOL and true!!.
‘Anecdotally debauched. ★★★★★’ The Herald (UK)
‘A comic at his gleeful best. ★★★★★’ Edinburgh Evening News
All proceeds from the show will go to support our glorious leader’s conquering of his stupid disease PPMS.
