In 1995 Johnny started a night called See The Light with Marcia Carr and Michael Morley. From its beginnings, See The Light became the place to be for any discerning house head on a Friday night. With a music policy ranging from New York Disco to New Jersey House, See The Light would become a hotbed for new tunes from the states, the weekly club was one of a few essential house nights which were frequented by the house dance community - PTA’s ‘The Loft’ was one of the few other clubs at that time that were essential for dancers. Names such as Kerri Chandler, Phil Asher, DJ Camacho (RIP), Jazz n Groove, Jeremy Newall, Seamus Haji, Joey Negro, Gusto, Deli G, Ricky Morrison, Dino and Terry all played at this intimate venue.
Throughout the 2000’s Body Music and Soul Brew/Doctors Orders added Johnny to their DJ roster, including a residency at Madame JoJo's at a night called Life and Soul playing alongside DJ Spinna, Pete BBE, Kyri, Jeremy Newall, Andrew Bird, Spin Doctor. Johnny also had his own promotions at the Embassy Bar, Plastic People and various one off parties.
In & around 2010, Johnny played at: ’Independent Movement Parties’ & Brilliant Corners where he played alongside Sadar Bahrar, Nick the Record and Mark Gurney. He played again at Plastic People; East Village; The Gate in Notting Hill and various clubs and parties. Johnny has played alongside Louie Vega, Sadar Bahar, Marc Mac, DJ Spinna, Kerri Chandler, Paul Trouble Anderson, John Morales; Ashley Beedle; Phil Asher; Nacho Larache, Bobby & Steve; Jeremy Newall; Seamus Haji; Ricky Morrison; The Mighty Zaf; Funky P; Neil Pierce; Sy Sez; Chrissy T & Perry Louis; Barrie Sharpe; Andrew Marriot; DJ Soul Provider, Maria Carr and Norman Jay
