✽ ABOUT BABEL NIGHTS ✽
Babel Nights is a series of club concerts hosted in the cities of Europe. The mission of Babel Nights is to bring the multicultural and intimate atmosphere of the famous hungarian world music event, Babel Sound Fesztivál to your city.
Babel Nights aims to unite people and traditions of the world. It creates an environment that encourages creative co-operation, play and real interaction between audience and performer.
Artists performing at Babel Nights are true representatives of their nationalities. They pass on cultural heritage and deepen the mutual respect for each other through their music.
If you want to be part of a musical experience with lots of fun, this night is for you!

➤ Ibrahima Cissokho & le Mandingue Foly (SEN)
Ibrahima Cissokho is one of the most famous national performers in Senegal. He pays homage to his ancestors and sings about subjects which are close to his heart: education, solidarity and love; mostly in Manding, Wolof or English language.
Born to a family that originates from Casamance, Ibrahima grew up surrounded by his father's kora melodies. He decided to follow the traditions of his family and become an expert of the kora instrument. In 2008 he decided to get together with professional musicians in France and start a new music project, called the Mandingue Foly.

➤ Gadjo Barcelona (CAT)
Seven musicians bound by their Gadjistani culture, a rich and festive culture with bewitching rhythms and funny dances, theatrical melodies and a mish-mash of languages. Gadjo have toured extensively through Europe, sowing their musical mayhem as they go – no matter where they are, expect the dust to fly as the music kidnaps your heart and lifts your feet into an unstoppable dance.

➤ MiraMundo (CAT)
Luiz Murá left Brazil seeking for the roots and connections of Brazilian music around the world. It was in Barcelona, where he found the perfect environment of his heritage and formed the band MiraMundo.
MiraMundo members are united by freedom, the love for multiculturalism and a global understanding of traditions. MiraMundo songs present intimate stories about love, travel experiences and feelings, while mixing diverse genres: bossa nova, Mexican mariachi, samba, Gypsy songs, and African traditions, that are blended into gentle rhythms and strong melodies.
