Desde el Festival Sereia estamos preparando esta 4ª Edición, donde las mujeres batuqueiras de toda Europa serán las protagonistas ¡Pero todas las personas son bienvenidas! Si vives en Europa, te apasiona la percusión, los batuques y la cultura popular brasileña… Tenemos esta convocatoria abierta especialmente para ti:

Tres días de inmersión los días 2, 3 y 4 de febrero en Barcelona junto a nuestra directora artística Jabu Morales. Ella impartirá 8 horas de formación entre el viernes tarde y sábado todo el día, donde se trabajará canto, polirritmia, movimiento, dinámicas de grupos y escucha activa. El domingo 4 a la tarde se hará una presentación de todo lo aprendido en una gran fiesta en las calles de Barcelona.

Jabu tiene larga experiencia enseñando y dirigiendo colectivos. Desde su llegada Barcelona en 2008 ya impartió diversos talleres de música y ritmos populares por todo Europa en diferentes contextos, para distintos niveles que se destaca por crear una hegemonía en el grupo y transmitir la música con un lenguaje claro y divertido!

De los grupos y colectivos que integró y fundó, se destacan Maracatu Mandacaru, Tambor de Saia, Madame Baião y Ayom.

Este es un primer encuentro que pretende crear una red de mujeres “batuqueiras” en Europa que se reconozcan y se comuniquen para dar continuidad a la corriente de crear, empoderar y mantener el flujo de maestros, maestras y divulgadores de la cultura popular brasileña en Europa.

¿QUÉ OFRECEMOS?

Formación:

Viernes 2 de febrero: 2 horas de taller de preparación corporal, voz y polirritmia. 

Sábado 3 de febrero: 6 horas de talleres (horarios a confirmar)

Domingo 4 de febrero: Presentación

Conciertos Festival Sereia:

Por participar en este primer encuentro podréis tener acceso a los conciertos de viernes y sábado noche del Festival Sereia, en La Nau. 

IMPORTANTE: es una convocatoria con plazas limitadas y seleccionaremos por orden cronológico de inscripción. 

¿DÓNDE?

Este gran encuentro será en la ciudad de Barcelona, principalmente en el barrio del Poblenou y el Born. 

INVERSIÓN:

Hay dos tipos de tickets a la venta para participar en Batuqueiras do Sereia:

1) FULL PASS BATUQUEIRAS. Tiene un coste especial de 60€. Incluye: 8 horas de formación entre el viernes tarde y sábado todo el día + 8 horas de conciertos y fiestas nocturnas entre viernes 2 y sábado 3 de febrero. 

2) PASS BATUQUEIRAS. Tiene un coste de 25€. Incluye: 8 horas de formación entre el viernes tarde y sábado todo el día. Para aquellas personas que no quieren venir a los conciertos. 

El festival no cubrirá los costes de hospedaje, alimentación ni de transporte. 

REQUISITOS:

Vivir en Europa y tener un mínimo de conocimientos sobre percusión (no hace falta ser profesional). La inscripción puede ser individual, no hace falta apuntarse con un grupo.  ***Es indispensable traer tu propio tambor a los talleres.

It will be 8 hours of training between Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon to work on singing, polyrhythm, movement, group dynamics and active listening. We'll finish the immersion with a presentation at a great party on the streets of Barcelona on Sunday 4th. Showing everything learned during the immersion.

Jabu has great experience in teaching and directing groups. Since her arrival in Barcelona back in 2008, she has already taught different music and popular rhythms workshops throughout Europe in different contexts, for different levels, which stands out for creating hegemony in the group and teaching music with a clear and fun language!

Some of the best-known groups and collectives she joined and founded are: Maracatu Mandacaru, Tambor de Saia, Madame Baião and Ayom.

This is a first meeting that aims to create a network of “batuqueiras” women in Europe who recognize each other and communicate. To continue the trend of creating, empowering and maintaining the flow of teachers and disseminators of popular brazilian culture in Europe.

WHAT WE OFFER?

Training:

Friday, February 2nd: 2 hours of body preparation, voice and polyrhythm workshop.

Saturday, February 3rd: 8 hours of workshops (schedule to be confirmed)

Sunday, February 4th: Presentation

Festival Sereia Concerts:

By participating in this first meeting you can have access to the Friday and Saturday night concerts of the Festival Sereia, in La Nau.

IMPORTANT: this call has limited spots and we'll follow the chronological order of registrations.

WHERE?

This great meeting will be in the city of Barcelona, mainly in the Poblenou and Born neighborhoods.

INVESTIMENT:

There is 2 types of participation for the Batuqueiras Training:

1) FULL PASS BATUQUEIRAS. It has a cost of 60€. Includes: 8 hours of training and 8 hours of concerts and night parties between 2nd and 3rd of February. Sunday night party is not included.

2) PASS BATUQUEIRAS. It has a cost of 25€. Includes: 8 hours of training between 2nd and 3rd of February.

The festival will not cover the costs of accommodation, food or transportation.

REQUIREMENTS:

Live in Europe and have a minimum of knowledge of percussion (you don't need to be a professional). It is essential to bring your own drum to the workshops. It's not necessary to sign up with a group, registration can be individual.
