La cuarta edición del Festival Sereia tendrá lugar en Barcelona del 2 al 4 de febrero de 2024, coincidiendo con las celebraciones de Yemanjá y La Candelaria. El Festival Sereia es un evento que busca celebrar la conexión entre la cultura popular brasileña y la ciudad de Barcelona. Uno de los puntos fuertes del festival es el forró, una danza de pareja tradicional del noreste de Brasil que ha conquistado corazones y pies en toda Europa. Pero más allá del forró, queremos promover y dar a conocer otras manifestaciones y ritmos tradicionales de Brasil, como el frevo, maracatu, coco, ijexá, ciranda y otros con una gran influencia africana.

El Festival ofrecerá clases de baile de forró - el baile de pareja que ha conquistado Europa - que marca el símbolo de la interculturalidad del evento, y otros estilos de ritmos y danzas tradicionales. Además habrá actividades gratuitas para todos los públicos - familias, vecinos y vecinas de Barcelona, y una programación musical inclusiva y protagonizada por mujeres.
